Google to sunset Structured Data Files v6 in Display & Video 360

Google is phasing out an older version of its Structured Data File Format (SDF) used in Display & Video 360, its enterprise advertising platform.

Why we care. This change affects advertisers and partners using SDF v6, requiring them to migrate to newer versions to maintain uninterrupted service.

Key details:

  • SDF v6 will be obsolete on April 30, 2025
  • Users must migrate to SDF v7 or later before the expiration date.
  • Google provided a migration guide to move from v6 to v7

What’s next. After April 30, 2025:

  • The default versions for partners and advertisers will automatically update to v7.
  • API requests using SDF_VERSION_6 will return a 400 error

How to get help. Google has implemented a new Display & Video 360 API technical support contact form for migration assistance.

The main thing. Advertisers and partners using SDF v6 have approximately 9 months to plan and execute their migration to avoid service interruptions.
